Since the early 1980’s our principle focus has been on providing training in both HPLC and GC. We normally run three courses each year (one HPLC and two GC) in conjunction with the Waikato Institute of Technology (Wintec) in Hamilton, New Zealand. These courses have been attended by over 1500 scientists and technicians from all over NZ, and a few from Australia.

Both the HPLC and GC Courses have been completely revised during 2006-7.
See the outline of the course timetable and content under each category.
The emphasis in our Courses has always been on the ‘practice’ of chromatography, and we cover the basic practical “plumbing” skills as well as the theory. Our “Basic HPLC” and “Basic GC” Courses assume no prior knowledge of chromatography. We prefer participants on the “Advanced and Applied” GC Course to have been on our Basic GC Course, or to have had a number of years of practical GC experience.
Many chromatography supply companies have offered support over the years by providing loan instruments or consumables at a favourable price, as well as having their staff attend as informal instructors. Our courses could not have been run without their on-going help, and we believe that our courses are probably the only ones in the world where instruments from several suppliers are available for participants to use.
